Thilo Fechner


Thilo Fechner was born in Berlin. The son of a family of musicians studied at the University of Arts Berlin and at Juilliard School New York. Already during his studies Thilo Fechner had acquired plenty of orchestral practice. He was a member of the Herbert von Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic and the Berlin Baroque Orchestra. In 1996 he was engaged with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in Geneva, in 1997 he signed with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. Having been repeatedly involved at the Bayreuth Festival, he became a member of Vienna State Opera Orchestra 2004 and the Vienna Philharmonic in 2005.
He is a founding member of the chamber music ensemble "The PHILHARMONICS". Since 2017 in the PHILHARMONIX.
Since 2005 he has been responsible for the planning and execution of the tours of the Vienna Philharmonic, as well as project manager of the largest classical open air concert in the world, the "Summer Night Concert" in Schönbrunn.
